House of Prayer, First Born Church of the Living God was originally founded by Bishop Miller in the 1940s.  At its humble beginnings, HOP started as a tent church in the historic Overtown area of Miami, FL. until the construction of its building. With the help of its members who fundraised on behalf of the church, the building of the church itself was completed.  The church was named House of Prayer and under the First Born Church of the Living God.  That same building currently sits at

2360 NW 152 Terrace in beautiful Miami Gardens, Florida.

In 2003, House of Prayer Testimonial Temple (HOPTT) was established under the leadership of the late Elder Olin Charles Smith; and has been acting as an independent church with no affiliation to any organization or reformations.

HOPTT is open to worshippers of all ages and backgrounds. We lead our congregation in worship where the congregation can deepen its connection to God.  HOPTT believes in the teachings of Christ and thrives with vibrant faith.

We have a long, proud history of serving the people of Miami Gardens. Through the dedication of our leadership, staff members, and volunteers, we are committed to spreading the message of Jesus Christ; who is the head of our congregation.
